The short version

Your voice never leaves your computer. There is no account, no telemetry and no server to send anything to.

What the application does with your audio

Audio is captured while you hold the dictation key, converted to text on your own machine, and discarded. It is never written to disk and never transmitted.

What is stored locally

Your settings, your vocabulary list, and — only if you leave history switched on — a local log of transcripts, kept for 30 days by default. All of it lives in %LOCALAPPDATA%\HandsFreeKeys on your computer. Delete that folder and nothing remains. We never receive any of it.

The website

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without profiling visitors.

Purchases

Paddle.com processes payments as merchant of record and holds your billing details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address and country so we can issue and support your licence. We never see your card number.
